Church holds fundraiser for pregnancy resource center
Parishioners of Sacred Heart Church of Greybull hosted a Feb. 22 fundraiser and potluck dinner for the benefit of Serenity Pregnancy Resource Center.
Tonya Bartholomew, executive director of the resource center, provided a presentation on the services the center provides to families across the Big Horn Basin who have a crisis pregnancy. The center provides free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, and counseling.
Besides providing emotional support and parenting classes during pregnancy, Serenity Pregnancy Resource Center provides maternity clothes. Support continues after the birth of the baby with baby clothes, diapers, and other care items. Fathers are included with parenting classes and “Earn While You Learn’’ plans.
Serenity Pregnancy Resource Center is “a Christ centered ministry which exists to provide alternatives to abortion, offer post abortion support, and empower mothers and fathers in crisis pregnancies to value and choose life in all circumstances.”
All services are free and are totally supported by donations.
