‘Shrek the Musical’ on stage next week
“Shrek the Musical” hits the Greybull High School stage Thursday, Nov. 20.
The fall musical, sponsored by the Greybull Arts Council and BOCES, will be a stage adaptation of the 2001 Shrek film that sparked a franchise.
Randy Tolman will lead the community cast as ogre Shrek, who is forced to save Princess Fiona, played by Rachel Pope, for the evil Lord Farquaad, Jonathan Tolman, in order to get his swamp back. Their gang of iconic side characters will include Bill Robertson as Donkey, Wende Jenness as Dragon and the wicked witch, Devlan Hoflund as Gingy and Dietrich Otto as Pinocchio.
Under Director Em Wilson, Assistant Director Dee Robertson and Music Director Dr. Michael Yenny, the show boasts an expansive cast, band and crew that will work together for GHS’s fall production.
Ticket prices will be $8; for reserved seating, stop into the GHS office or call 765-2537. The show will run Nov. 20-22 at 7 p.m. each night in the GHS auditorium.
