‘Tour of the Decades’ Saturday at BCAC
The Rewinders, a 4-piece band from the Big Horn Basin, will be at the Basin City Arts Center this Saturday, October 19 at 7 p.m. with their “Tour of the Decades” Concert. Together for about 20+ years, they love to “Rewind” through time looking back on some of music’s coolest songs from the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s and beyond primarily
from country and classic rock. They love a good harmony; they’ve been known to crack a few jokes and play the music familiar to your ears.
Bret Savage, Lead Guitar and Vocals, has been playing since he was 10 and has always had a soft spot for country music. It was his dad’s favorite, and it rolled down to the next generation(s). Bret played in bands during high school and now lives in Lovell. Bret has been adding in solo gigs these past years with several performances at the Irma in Cody, the
Bull Pub in Cowley, and the historic Greybull Hotel. Savage is also a member of the “Cowley Boys”.
Wade Brost on Rhythm Guitar and Vocals is a guy with a lot of variety in his musical past. Wade played brass and percussion back in the high school days and picked up the guitar about 23 years ago and hasn’t put it down since. Wade is from Cowley and a country music fan who enjoys classic rock and blues. He’s the yodeler in the band with high notes ready to fill that old-time country music vibe. Wade and Bret continue
to give back to the community by doing free performances every Sunday night at the New Horizons Care Center in Lovell.
Schuyler Hinckley on Drums is a long time Cowley resident who has been sitting behind the “pots and pans” since he was in middle school. He is also a member of the “Cowley Boys” which has been making music for the past 27 years. He loves all kinds of music including country, blues, rock, and jazz.
Mike Holzer on Bass Guitar has been with the Rewinders for about 9 years. Mike is a long time Lovell native who loves Rock & Country.
Join The Rewinders at the Basin City Arts Center this Saturday, October 19 at 7 p.m. as they take you
with them on a musical journey through time. Tickets at the door, $15.
