Area schools show grad rate growth
Riverside High School’s four-year graduation rate grew 13.1% last year as compared to the year prior. At 92% for 2024-25, Basin beat the Wyoming state average graduation rate of 83.1%, which is up 1.5%.
Twenty-three of 25 Big Horn County School Dist. No. 4 expected cohort graduates received their diploma last year. Notably, 100% of Riverside’s CTE Concentration students graduated. The male student graduation rate was below the female rate at 87.5%.
With small class sizes, even a few dropouts can drastically influence graduation rates. Fifteen of 19 graduated in 2023-34, dropping the graduation rate to 78.9%. Last year’s graduation rate is slightly above average for Riverside, however, with the highest available rate in 2019-20 at 95.8%.

Big Horn County School Dist. No. 1 saw 113 of 138 students graduate in 2024-25, 81.9%. With rates in the mid 70%-range for the past five years, the district saw a 5.2% jump in their graduation rate. Though the overall percentage is not as high as the state average, District 1 showed above average growth.
