The happiest people don’t have the best of everything. They make the best of everything they have.
One of the things I did while in Cheyenne was attend the Governor’s Arts Award Gala. It reminded me that there are a lot of grants available through the Wyoming Arts Council.
One grant opportunity is the folk and traditional arts mentoring project grants. The grants fund a master traditional artist to teach their art form to a dedicated apprentice through in-person intensive instruction. Visit www.wyomingartscouncil.org or contact Josh Chrysler at 307-256-2010, joshua.chrysler@wyo.gov, for more details.
There is also a community support grant to organizations that provide services to their community through the arts. The deadline to apply is March 29. Find out more by visiting https://wyoarts.state.wy.us/wac-grant/csg/. For any inquiries or assistance about the grant or the application process, contact amara.fehring@wyo.gov or 307-630-3918.
There are also grants available for “Professional Development/Career Advancement” and “Arts Access Project.” For more information on both grants go to www.wyomingartscouncil.org under grants tab.
Kristin Fong from the Wyoming Business Council reminds us that the deadline for this grant is approaching: The Value-Added Producer Grant (VAPG) program helps agricultural producers enter value-added activities to generate new products, create and expand marketing opportunities and increase producer income. If you have program questions or would like to request a VAPG application, please contact Cynthia Dettloff at Cynthia.Dettloff@usda.gov or 307-233-6716.
Thank you, Greybull Elks Lodge, Basin Pharmacy, Copper Corner Cafe, and Basin’s Market for your chamber renewals.
