Oct. 2, 1929 - March 11, 2024
Our beloved mother Betty Jean (Feil) Urwiller stepped into the arms of her Heavenly Father on March 11, 2024.
Born to R.J, (Rheinhart) and Anna (Wells) Feil, Oct. 2, 1929, in Gering, Neb., she attended school K-12, graduating in 1947.  She became a cosmetologist and worked in the Gering Beauty Shop in Gering, Neb.
Betty married Elmer Urwiller of Shelton, Neb., on Nov. 14, 1949, in Scottsbluff, Neb.
To this marriage, three boys and three girls were born: Beverly, Tracy, Neil, Karen, Nancy and Shane.
Betty and Elmer lived in Nebraska for 15 years, then moved to Kalispell, Mont.  They also lived in Bigfork, Polson, and Lavina, Mont.  In 1979, the family moved to Meeteetse, Wyo.  When Elmer and Betty retired in 1994, they moved to Basin, Wyo., where she lived until the time came for Betty to have more care.
Betty was a wonderful mother and an active member of her church and served in many ways.  Her favorite hobby was sewing and quilting, winning many awards for her bed quilts and wall hangings, each of them hand quilted.   She was a stay-at-home mom, loved cooking and baking.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elmer and brother Dwight.  She is survived by her six children: Beverly (Noel) Jensen of Whitehall, Mont., Tracy (Becky) Urwiller of Powell, Wyo., Neil Urwiller of Casper, Wyo., Karen (Ed) Gorham of Cheyenne, Wyo., Nancy (Dean) Rupe of Billings, Mont., Shane Urwiller of Hettinger, N.D.; 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
