Betty Joan Allen Anderson passed away peacefully on July 8, 2022 at her home in Basin, Wyo. Betty was born on June 19, 1937 to Della O’Mara Allen and Alfred Allen.

She grew up in Burlington, Wyo., and married Vern Graham. Soon after, they moved to Anchorage, Alaska for a few years with their three children: Debbie, Danny, and Carrie.

Later on, she remarried to Richard Wiles and moved back to Alaska. Lynn, Clair, and Mark were born in Anchorage.

She later moved back to Wyoming and worked at various jobs in the Big Horn Basin.

In 1982, Betty married Lee Anderson and moved to Youngtown, Arizona. When Lee passed away in 2000, she moved back to Basin, Wyo.

Betty loved having a garden of vegetables and beautiful flowers, from the cold climate of Alaska to the heat of Arizona.

Her body just couldn’t keep up with her. She survived long past the expectations of her doctors until cancer finally won. Her mind was sharp right up until the end.

Betty is survived by daughters Debbie (Jerry) Anderson of Orem, Utah, Carrie (Adrian) Preator of Burlington, Wyo.; sons Lynn (Judy) Wiles of Burlington, Wyo., Clair (Ruth) Wiles of Redmond, Ore., and Mark (Dianna) Wiles of Burlington, Wyo. She is also survived by a brother Leslie (Dorothy) Allen of Burlington and sisters Sunny (Jim) Pederson of Worland, Beverly (Russell of Burlington.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, son Danny Graham, sister Dorothy Jones Riley, brother Lee Allen, son-in-law Paul Peery, granddaughter Jenny Peery and grandson Barrett Tolman.
