The middle school boys basketball season ended last weekend and the Burlington teams had a successful year.

The A team finished the regular season with a winning record of 10-1. “Our A team was led by eighth graders who did a great job and played hard all season,” said Coach Corey Bullinger. “They went into the tournament as the No. 2 seed and showed up and played some of the best basketball of the year during the first two games against Meeteetse and Shoshoni. We ended up finishing second to Rocky. While it wasn’t the end we had hoped for, I was sure proud of the boys for how hard they worked and for not ever giving up.”

The B team had a great season as well, finishing regular season play with a 10-1 record and went into the tournament as the top seed. “They also saved some of their best basketball for last and were able to avenge a loss to Greybull in the championship game, with a final score of 49-27. We’re excited to see what they can do in the Yellowstone Tournament this weekend.”

Burlington’s C team finished the regular season with a record of 7-2 and sent some of their players up to play at the B tournament.

“We had a great season with a great bunch of boys. While we are sad to be losing so many eighth graders next season, we are excited for what the future holds and to continue working with the boys that are coming up,” ended Bullinger.
