Burlington Speech & Debate takes third in Riverton

Burlington’s Speech and Debate team had another successful weekend, placing third in 1A/2A  in Riverton. In the Oratory division, Jessica Mendez broke into semifinals and Kitzen Schatz took second overall. “The other competitors had a strong showing as well,” said Coach Shelby Moore. “I was really happy with their scores and progress.”
This week will be a down week for the Huskies, but they will be co-hosting a tournament with Greybull the following week on Feb. 23-24.
“We are still looking for people to help us judge that tournament and would love to get more volunteers. You don’t need any experience and we will show you what to do,” said Moore.
