Chamber Chat: Free green lights to support veterans

By:
Barbara Anne Greene

Having access to people smarter than you is a blessing, not a threat.
At the military appreciation game at Riverside, the chamber gave away over 30 green lights. We are excited that so many green lights will be displayed throughout the town. Green lights are a way to show veterans and their families that we remember and honor them.  We will continue to give away lights now through Veterans Day in November. The free lights are in the foyer of the chamber 24/7. If you take one, please make sure you place it in a light that can be seen from the street.
We are already working with the town on the Home For the Holidays event Nov. 25, starting at 6 p.m. If you want to run a special that day/evening, please let me know so we can include it in Chamber Chat and a newspaper story.
