Chamber Chat: Time to hang your Christmas lights
“Life has taught me to always appreciate the little things in life. To appreciate what I have and to always be grateful because a grateful heart is a magnet for miracles.” Unknown
Halloween is over. It is time to hang Christmas lights. Once again, we are hoping each business in Basin will hang lights so they can be seen from our main streets. Homes, too! Wanting them up before Home for the Holidays on Nov. 25. If you need lights, we have plenty. Let us Light Up Basin! Call 307-568-3055.
Chamber lunch this Thursday, Nov. 9, at noon. We will be enjoying chili and cinnamon rolls from the Copper Corner Cafe. Join us at the chamber office, at 407 West C St., across from the post office.
Wyoming Outdoor Recreation grants are now open. On Nov. 1, the Wyoming Office of Outdoor Recreation launched the second round of applications for the Wyoming Outdoor Recreation Grant Program. In this round, applicants will need to complete an application and a risk assessment form and provide the necessary documentation and information to apply for funding. Applicants must demonstrate how the project will address impacts experienced by the COVID-19 pandemic and demonstrate the need for outdoor recreation infrastructure that the community closest to the project location will best benefit from the program. The Wyoming Outdoor Recreation Office has built a GIS map to allow applicants to identify areas of the state where project work can occur. Funds are available to local, county, state, and tribal governments as well as non-profit organizations across the state. Projects over $750,000 will require a discussion with the grant coordinator before the application is submitted. There is no match requirement, but preference will be given to projects that can provide a match. Go to https://wyooutdoorrecreation.wyo.gov
