The Wyoming Business Council (WBC) has paused applications for theCommunity Facility Rehabilitation(CFR) Grant Program, a subcomponent of the Community Facilities Program (CFP) that was appropriated by the Wyoming Legislature during the 2023 General Session. • South Big Horn Senior Center: Birthday Lunch, Oct. 17, 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
• Basin First Baptist:  Family Game Night Oct. 22.
• Big Horn County Fair: New logo competition. The new logo must include “Big Horn County Fair” and “Basin, WY.” The grand prize is $250. Send your entries to fair@bighorncountywy.gov.
 • Town of Basin: Town Council Meeting, Oct. 12, 7 p.m. Senior Room, open house, Oct. 12, 1-3 p.m. Come enjoy coffee and cookies in the Basin Community Complex Building Senior Room on West B Street.
• The SHACK volunteer opportunities: cleaning*, office assistant*, unloading aluminum cans from big building alley dumpster, disc golf course work. *Could be paid. We no longer have an office assistant so we have an urgent need for office assistant help. We were awarded a $10,000 Energy Efficiency grant from the Wyoming Energy Office, but to realize the full grant, we need to raise $3,350, a 25% match. Would you consider partnering with us to meet this goal? The money will be used to put in a double door on the south end of the new building (which will make it much more secure) and install more insulation.
• Town of Manderson: Town Council Meeting, Oct. 12, 6:30 p.m. Manderson Police Department Highway Cleanup, Oct. 14, 10 a.m.In honor of the partial eclipse, they will be handing out moon pies. Bring your eclipse glasses. The police are hosting a Halloween party, Oct. 28, 4-6 p.m. at the Manderson Town Hall.
• Saint Andrews: Neat Repeat Store, Oct. 13, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
• Children’s Resource Center: Kind Fest, Oct. 14, 9 a.m. - noon at the Basin Rec Complex (old gym).
• Copper Corner Cafe:Otto Fall Extravaganza, Oct. 14, 4-6 p.m. at the Otto Park.
• The Big Horn Basin Dinosaur and Geoscience Center: “Digital Dinosaurs: how microscopic details from dinosaurs from the Bighorn Basin inform us about their life 150 million years ago.” Saturday, Oct. 14, 6 p.m. at the Greybull Museum.
