Champber Chat: Christmas light viewing a long tradition in Basin

“Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about learning how to dance in the rain.”
Thank you to all who put up Christmas lights. If you need a pick-me-up, get out and see them. Families loading up in a vehicle and driving the streets of Basin has been a family tradition for decades and decades. I would venture to guess that it has been since the 1930s.
We sent out “judges” to tell us their favorites. They chose Aileen and Travis Schriner at 501 South Ninth, Anita and Dean Eibert at 272 North Sixth Street, Nikki and Heath Hopkin at 911 South Ninth, Mary and Jim Raffl at 515 West F Street, Pam and Michael Gorski at 806 South Ninth Street, and Kathi and Rick George at 802 South Eighth Street.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Be kind to one another.
Thanks B&B Realty/Concessions and Queen Bee Gardens for your chamber renewal.
