•Museum of Flight and Aerial Firefighting: The museum opens May 18. 

• Shell Community Hall: Spring Highway Cleanup, May 19 at 5 p.m. 

• Hyattville Community Center: Cowboy Carnival, May 24. 

• American Legion Auxiliary: The American Legion Post 29 will be presenting a Memorial Day ceremony Monday, May 25. They will be at the Burlington cemetery at 9 a.m., the Otto cemetery at 10 a.m. and the Basin cemetery at 11 a.m. with a picnic/barbecue at Washington Park in Basin afterward, weather permitting for veterans and their families. Should the weather not cooperate, the picnic/barbecue will be moved to the American Legion/Chamber building. Hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks will be provided. Veterans and families, please bring a side dish and/or dessert and your lawn chairs.

 • Copper Corner Cafe: Otto Memorial Day program, May 25, 9:50 a.m. at the Otto cemetery. Program and dedication of the new entrance commemorating USA’s 250th anniversary. 

• BHC GOP: 250 Years of American Freedom! Lincoln Day Dinner candidate forum and fundraiser will be Saturday, May 30, in Emblem at the Emblem Gym.
