The Riverside Booster Club and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 29 are collecting donations for Christmas packages for deployed military personnel.

Again this year, they are hoping to send baskets to deployed military members with local ties.

They need the public’s help in getting the names and addresses of those deployed. If you know of a service woman/man that is deployed, please get the name and address to the chamber. This may be done by email (basinchamber@gmail.com) or dropped off at the Basin Republican Rustler

Suggested items for donation include game books, notebooks, pens/pencils, encouragement letters/cards, kids’ art, lip balm, personal hygiene items for women and men, reading material and snacks.

Snacks that won’t spoil or melt are the best. Some suggested items are meat sticks, nuts, chips, dried fruit, energy bars, drink mixes, candy, honey sticks, popcorn, pretzels, trail mix and granola. The items may be dropped off at Riverside Middle/High School or the Basin Area Chamber by Nov. 15, 2024

Monetary donations are welcome as well. There are donations jars at Basin Pharmacy, Basin’s Market and Valley Hardware.
