Done dreaming and ready to start living

Now that we have flipped the calendar, closing 2023, my mind reminisces of the year left behind. I am not sure exactly how or why but it seems when you get older the days tend to fly by. The days turn to weeks, then weeks to months and before you know it here you are, face to face with 2024.
For us 2023 was a pretty exciting year, with a lot of BIG changes for our family. We changed our address, I got a new job and we joined a new church, to name a few. About a year ago, I told my husband I was “done dreaming and ready to start living”, and that is just what we did! With the support of my beloved, we focused more than ever on the things that were really important to us and worked to bring them to fruition in 2023.
To be “done dreaming and start living” meant a year filled with faith, hard work and sacrifice. It wasn’t exactly easy, and at times may have been downright scary, but I am so happy we persevered and pushed through. Not that we didn’t have a good life before, we had a wonderful life with lots of dreams. Now with our little farm just outside of town, a job with time off to spend with those we love and a wonderful church family we are living those dreams.
I am hopeful we will be blessed with a lot of years, for all of the “living” we have left to do and can’t wait to see what 2024 brings our way. It is also my hope to anyone reading this that 2024 bring them blessings of health, happiness and the courage to make your dreams come true so you can make sure you are not only dreaming but living your best life too.
