Food drive planned during Main Street Trick or Treat

The Community Outreach thrift shop in Greybull has announced plans for a food drive coinciding with Friday’s Main Street Trick-or-Treat, which runs from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

In addition to passing out candy from the usual spot in front of their store, thift shop employees and volunteers intend to set out boxes for donations to the food pantry, which are badly needed with winter and the holidays approaching.

“When you bring your families, stick a can of veggies or a shelf stable item in your pocket to drop in the decorated boxes we will have available at our table,” said Kay Mattis, a thrift shop board member and volunteer, in a letter to the editor this week. “You will also be showing your family a valuable lesson in giving and community service.”
