George Henry Jahrig

George Henry Jahrig 

George Henry Jahrig was born in Worland, Wyo., to Eugene and Sara Jahrig on Oct. 23, 1944. 

George served two years in the United States Army. After that, spent his life working on drilling rigs and then becoming an over-the-road truck driver. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, looking for old artifacts, panning for gold, and anything outdoors. 

George married Edna and together they raised eight children. 

 He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Edna Jahrig, sister Shirley Ann, brother Tom Jahrig and two nephews, Henry Study and D.J. 

He is survived by his two sons, Kevin and Kody Jahrig; daughter, Kerri Hullet; stepdaughters, Cathy Garcia, Lori Kilgore, Christine Porter,  Lynda Nelson, and Cindy Simoneaux; his brother Albert Jahrig, and sister Helen Saunders. He also has numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.  

Cremation has taken place and there will be a family get-together at Manderson Town Hall Aug. 12, 2023, at 1 p.m.
