Grants available from USDA to build and improve water infrastructure

Here is information regarding applications to build and improve rural water infrastructure. 

“U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development Under Secretary Dr. Basil Gooden today announced funding is available to expand access to clean drinking water and modern wastewater systems in rural areas. Chamber meeting, this Thursday at noon. Lunch will be provided. Please bring information about what is happening in your agency, business, etc. to share during the roundtable. 

The 2025 chamber membership renewal form is available in the foyer of the chamber or may be emailed to you. Please consider getting yours turned in this month. If you renewed within the last nine months, please feel free to prorate. It would be extremely helpful if we could get everyone on the same schedule. 

Chamber member news: 

• Big Horn Republican Party: Meeting the second Monday of the month at 6 p.m. Social hour, sometimes with treats. Meeting at 7 p.m. BHC Weed & Pest Building. Next meeting will be Monday, Jan. 13. 

• St. Andrews: Neat Repeat Store, Jan. 10, 9 a.m. New year, new things. 

• South Big Horn Senior Center: Birthday lunch, Jan. 14, 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. 

• University of Wyoming Extension - January 17, 24 and 31 - WY Walks for Seniors, 45-minute guided tour at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West museum beginning at 10 am. Everyone is welcome but only seniors and their caregivers are admitted for free when they join the morning walk and then they have the rest of the day in the museum to stroll. Participants are encouraged to attend all three dates. 

• Camp Bethel: Dads and Lads Friday, Jan. 24 - Saturday, Jan. 25. Let’s encourage our men to reach out to lads all around them and bring them to this event. Register online for Dads and Lads. 

• Basin City Arts Center: Board meeting, Jan. 9, 6 p.m.
