Green porch light bulbs to be distributed at Friday’s football game
“If serving is below you, then leadership is beyond you.” — Anonymous. Thanks, Walt Rivers, for the quote.
On Oct. 11, the Riverside football game is dedicated to our veterans. Green porch light bulbs will be available at the American Legion Auxiliary table. The green lights are to show veterans our support. Donations will be taken to buy items for and to mail Christmas boxes to soldiers serving overseas. Please wear red, white and blue. The Boy Scouts will present the flags at the start of the game. The game starts at 6 p.m. All veterans and their families are invited to attend and be recognized.
Chamber member meeting this Thursday at noon. Street tacos, chips and salsa provided by Los Gabanes Mexican Restaurant. Please RSVP so we can plan accordingly. Lunch will also feature Susan Wynn’s cilantro lime ranch dressing.
