Hello mudduh… hello fadduh… a letter from camp

Those of you over a certain age may recognize the first words to a song about summer camp. The song came out in 1963. It tells the tale of a perilous camp that had alligators in the lake, ptomaine poisoning, and malaria.

Thankfully summer camp at Camp Bethel was never that way and still isn’t. Those camps at Bethel are the source of many great memories. Since 1944 the camp has been a staple for many youth all over Wyoming, Montana and beyond.

It is already time to sign up for this summer. The camps are for fifth grade through 12th.  So, this is a shameless plug to remind to sign up you kids, grandkids, neighbors, nieces, nephews, family friends, etc. It is easy to do and will create an amazing memory for your kids. I wish we had lived closer. I would have gone to camp every year instead of just a couple.

Sign up at www.campbethelwyo.com/summer-camp. Back this year is Buddy Bucks. A youth who attended camp in the past and brings a friend who has never been to camp will get a discount of $40.  They will need to coordinate the registrations and list each other on the form. There are some scholarships available through Basin First Baptist. Just call Brett Suiter at 307-568-2121.
