A Montana woman was arrested by Wyoming Highway Patrol following a high-speed chase down Highway 310 on Monday, June 8. The Big Horn County jail roster lists Christina Smith, 41, as the potential subject, arrested on fleeing, interference, possession of a controlled substance in powder or crystalline form and DUI controlled substance.

Around 12:30 p.m., WHP troopers were dispatched to a chase involving a speeding, reckless vehicle with heavy front-end damage moving south from Montana into Wyoming. WHP joined Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office as officers tracked the speeding vehicle through Lovell around 1 p.m. Multiple agencies, including Greybull Police Department, assisted. The pursuit continued south on Highway 310 towards Greybull, where troopers successfully spiked the vehicle at mile marker 211, near the intersection of Highway 310 and Highway 14/16/20, causing it to come to a stop and resulting in the subject’s arrest.

Wyoming Highway Patrol Public Information Officer Aaron Brown reported other possible charges are pending and the investigation remains active.
