Huskies overtake Kemmerer in conference standings

Week four of shooting has wrapped up and the Burlington Huskies have passed up Kemmerer to take fourth place in their conference behind Thunder Basin, Goshen County and Wheatland. Burlington shot 171 this past week to bring its total points to 636.50. 

“Our team and individual scores have been very good the past few competitions,” said Coach Nate Kreider. 

Top five shooters for Burlington this week were 1) Brikton Wardell, 46/50, who is now ranked 19th in the state and sixth in the Conference; 2) Kole Walker, 45/50, now 10th in the conference; 3) Tridgon Aagard, 41/50, 22nd in the conference; 4) Chute Cauffman/Parker Cook, 39/50, and Cook is ranked 23rd in the conference; 5) Isaac Davidson 37/50. 

Ava Wennberg is 10th in the conference in the female division. 

“Hopefully we can finish week five strong and some more student athletes will post personal best scores,” said Kreider. 

The Huskies will shoot week 5 this week and then have a Family Day where season-end team awards will be awarded.
