Huskies take down another conference opponent

The Huskies had a quiet week with only one varsity game in Dubois on Saturday. 

Burlington jumped to a quick 10-point lead before the Rams could score and continued to outpace them, ending the first half with a 38-10 lead. The Huskies had a massive third quarter, scoring 23 points, and ended the game with a final score of 73-18. 

Burlington shot 46% from the field, doubled the Rams’ shooting attempts and outrebounded them 35-18. Chase Bassett led the team with 21 points and five steals and shot an impressive 60% from the field and 67% from the free throw line. Bitner Philpott had 12 points and seven rebounds. Matt Tempany also grabbed seven boards and added four points. 

To end the regular season, the Huskies will face Ten Sleep at home on Friday night with a JV game at 5:30 and varsity tip off at 7 p.m. and will have Senior Night on Saturday against Riverside with the JV playing at 4 and the varsity tip off at 7 p.m.
