Husky trap team wraps up season earning fourth in conference

The Wyoming State High School Clay Target League has wrapped up its spring season after five weeks of competition. The Burlington Huskies finished fourth in their conference.
The top five for Week 5 were: 1, Kole Walker, 39/50; 2, Hunter Aagard, 38/50; 3, Brikton Wardell, 37/50; 4, Wyatt Kasprowicz, 35/50; 4, Izzy Young, 31/50.
In overall conference standings, Aagard placed ninth, Walker placed 14th, Wardell placed 21st and Kasprowicz tied for 22nd. On the female side, Ava Wennberg placed 10th.
“This season went well,” said Coach Nate Kreider. “I am very proud of everyone on our team. They all improved and our team scores have doubled from last year.”
Kreider also announced year-end awards.  Hunter Aagard was the top shooter, Chute Cauffman was the most improved high school shooter and Ava Wennberg was the most improved middle school shooter.
“There are a lot of people that made this possible for our team to compete,” said Kreider. “I would like to thank the Big Horn Basin Gun Club, all of our company and family sponsors and all of our volunteers who helped make this season possible.”
