Five Lady Huskies have received postseason honors at the end of the 2025 volleyball season.

Junior Sarah McNiven earned all-conference honors for the third year in a row and all-state for the second year in a row. “Sarah stands out to everyone as a relentless competitor who brings energy to every match,” said Coach Erin Bassett. “Her presence at the net is an instant game-changer, combining powerful attacks and timely blocks that often shifted the momentum in our favor. Beyond her physical dominance, she is often the heart beat of our team, offering never-ending encouragement and lifting others with her positivity. It never matters if she is on the court or on the bench, she is engaged and encouraging her teammates. Her competitive nature never wavers. She is quick to ask for advice and makes needed adjustments. I have watched her pour her belief, encouragement, and competitive drive over her teammates in moments they were struggling with confidence. She backs all of that positivity up with work ethic and ability, she often stays after practice to work just a little longer. As an individual she is impressive both physically and mentally and as a teammate she is invaluable.”

Senior Paxton Philpott earned all-conference for the second year in a row. “Paxton is a true force on the court. Though she is quiet in demeanor, she is a very strategic player with a thoughtful approach and ability to read the game. As one of the team’s leaders in kills, she delivered a lot of power and precision to our offense. You can’t talk about Paxton’s hitting ability without someone commenting on how high she jumps and how long she can float in the air. She is always taking people by surprise with the power she generates! Paxton loves to hit the ball and does it well from multiple positions on the court, right side, left side, and the back row, but her value was not only in her offensive game. She was an anchor for us defensively as well. Anytime we could drop her to include her in our serve receive, we did. Her passing skills were a catalyst to our other hitters’ success.”

Junior Adison Haslam earned all-conference for the second year in a row. “As our setter, Adison filled one of the most demanding roles on the court. Setters are responsible to touch the ball in every series and carry the weight of orchestrating the offense. Her consistent composure set our hitters up for success. She is quiet and composed but unafraid to throw up a stuff block or dump a ball in an opponent’s wide-open court.”

Senior Naomi McNiven earned all-conference for her second year in a row. “You can always count on Naomi to give 100%. Her court awareness and quick reactions frustrated many of our opponents as she always found a way to keep the ball off our court. Outside of her defensive excellence, she dedicated herself to improving her offensive game throughout the season. All her hard work paid off when she delivered her strongest hitting performance during post season play. Her growth, resilience, and clutch contributions made her an indispensable part of our team’s success.”

Senior Hailee Winterholler earned all-conference honors for the first time. “Hailee earned All-Conference honors by being a versatile hitter that brought both strategy and power to our front line. There was just something about the way she hit the ball and where she placed it that teams struggled to defend. Naomi and Hailee always kept teams scrambling to defend as they would switch back and forth from middle to outside. Their ability to adjust to the flow of the game kept them as constant threats. Beyond the hitting line, Hailee was so consistent from the serving line, keeping opponents off balance and providing steady momentum for our team.”
