After a few full weeks of volleyball, the Lady Huskies had a light week with just Meeteetse on Friday for Homecoming. “Even with all of the homecoming activities, it was a little less stressful than some years!” said Coach Erin Bassett.

“The girls came out strong and had a good time. Our goal for this game was to control our controllables, so, really focusing on what we wanted to do each time the ball came over the net and into our court.”

Burlington quickly gained momentum and dominated all three games, winning 25-10, 25-6 and 25-16.

“Overall, we made very few errors,” said Bassett. “Hailee Winterholler, Sarah McNiven and Dalley Bassett all served 100% for the evening. Paxton Philpott had nine kills and no attack errors. Sarah contributed with 13 kills, Dalley had four and Naomi McNiven had one. Naomi, Breanne Walker and Eve McNulty were also perfect in their serve receive, scoring perfect passes for each ball served to them. Addison Haslam led assists with 18 and Breanne kicked in seven and Hailee had three.”

The Lady Huskies will be in Greybull Thursday night with JV at 4 and varsity at 5 p.m. and will be in Kaycee for a tournament on Friday and Saturday.
