Lady Huskies win over Meeteetse
The Lady Huskies played Meeteetse on the road and put them away in three games, 25-21, 25-13 and 25-15. “We had a good opportunity to play a few of our up and comers on Friday,” said Coach Erin Bassett. “Sophie Olson and Madison Aagard both stepped in and played a set for us in the varsity game. They both did a great job; they each had two kills and Sophie served 100% from the serving line and chipped in three digs as well. With a big group of seniors this year, it is fun to see the future of Lady Husky volleyball at work!”
Sarah and Naomi McNiven led the team in kills, with seven each. Hailee Winterholler followed close behind with six, Paxton Philpott and Dalley Bassett each added three and Hannah Stanworth had one. Adison Haslam led the team with six digs, Bassett and Orabella Heaton added five, N. McNiven had four, Olson three and Philpott two.
“Meeteetse has improved immensely from the first time we played them; it was great to see their growth and check another conference game off the list,” said Bassett.
Burlington will host Rocky for their homecoming game Thursday with junior varsity at 5:30 p.m. and varsity at 6:30 p.m.
