Lady Rebels begin season with Rocky tournament

Eight teams competed this weekend in the North Big Horn Invitational in Cowley. The tournament began with pool play Friday and continued  with bracket play Saturday.  It was all new territory for most of Riverside’s JV team which primarily consists of freshman.  

The Rebels started pool play Friday against the 2A Tongue River Lady Eagles. They lost 25-16, 25-16. They went on to play the 2A Greybull Lady Buffs directly after, falling to them as well, 25-13, 25-16. Later that evening, they were up against 1A opponent Burlington Lady Huskies and it was another defeat for the Lady Rebels, 25-19, 25-16.

The Rebels were able to make a comeback against the Wind River Lady Cougars, defeating them in two sets, no score available. In their final match of the weekend, the Rebels won the first set against Greybull 25-20, but dropped the next two, 25-11 and 15-8.
