Leslie Jones Wardell

May 15, 1929 – July 6, 2013Funeral services for Leslie Jones Wardell will be held Saturday, July 13 at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Burlington. Visitation will be a half hour prior to the start of the service at the church. Leslie, 84, died July 6 in Bismarck, N.D.He was born May 15, 1929, in Lovell, the son of Ross Dalton and Delsa Dalley Jones Wardell. He married Marilyn Briggs Dec. 27, 1947.Leslie was known as a hard worker and spent most of his life in construction. He was a field representative for the Building Department of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He spent his life serving the Lord and his family.His wife and two sons, Lynn Briggs Wardell and Brent Briggs Wardell, preceded him in death.He is survived by his children, Linda Ann Jessop, Dianne Nibarger, Leslie Briggs Wardell, Celia Vaughan, Michael Briggs Wardell, Bryan Briggs Wardell and Michelle Hammond; 41 grandchildren, 86 great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
