Let’s go girls

Girl Scout Troop 1341 is hosting a free “Let’s Go Girls!” event at the Greybull Library to bring girls from kindergarten through high school and around the Basin together on May 9.

Partnering with the Greybull Library and Museum, Greybull Art Guild, Buffalo Bill Center of the West and Girl Scouts Council of Montana and Wyoming, the event will feature a bracelet station, a tour of the museum, a Forest Service Leave No Trace presentation, a raptor experience, chalk arts station, STEM van and a greeting card station run by members of Troop 1341.

“It’s for all girls, they don’t have to be Girl Scouts,” troop leader Gloria Marcus said.

The idea is to get a variety of girls from across the Big Horn Basin and surrounding area to see what Girl Scouts do and explore new interests. There is no obligation to become a Girl Scout to participate.

Troop 1341 currently consists of Greybull and Basin area girls and hopes to see growth hosting their first event of this kind.

No registration is required; the event will take place Friday, May 9 at the Greybull Library and Museum from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. For more information, call 406-252-0488.
