Letter to the Editor: ‘This is my last letter to this paper about our disagreement on politics’

Dear editor:

I did not attack you, Steve Helburn; I have a different opinion.  For a Republican, you have very thin skin and this paper will not print an attack letter because I have written more than one. Toughen up, Buttercup.

You give yourself a lot of credit for your ability to think, that speech you gave about all citizens’ due process.  These people are here illegally. You bleeding hearts say that we are all equal. Try that in their country and see how you are treated as illegal.

I can still read you: Born in Montana, five years military, 30 years in oil and gas, late 1960s/early 1970s and you say you are a lifelong Republican!  Liz Cheney was a Republican also. She was the most sought-after Democrat when they were after Trump. I couldn’t tell if it was Liz or Hillary; you know, the pant suit queens of the Democrat party.

I’ll tell you a little about myself: Eighty years old, served my country and I’ve farmed all my life.  I started with nothing and still have nothing! I, too, do believe in the Constitution, Bill of Rights and I believe in God.  I believe in the old Supreme Court.  Today’s Supreme Court is a joke.  Nine supposedly smart people reading the law black and white. Why such a split?  It’s how you interpret the law; that’s why we have all this gray.  My opinion.

Again, I ask you, the Republican: How do you have access to these videos?  I think you showed your true colors when you made a joke of Fox News.  Where do you get your videos?  Rachel Maddow or fake news CNN?  There you have said it again the crowd was screaming. Here we go again.  It was a peaceful protest, cars burning, people breaking into liquor stores to get free booze and fighting ICE officers. Try this BS with the highway patrolman or your city cops and see how fast you’re looking out the crowbar hotel.

You let Sheriff Blackburn take care of his reputation. You take care of yours.  I will try to protect mine.  This is my last letter to this paper about our disagreement on politics.
