Levi Corbin Kelly
Levi Corbin Kelly
Levi Corbin Kelly, 28, has been called to Heaven all too soon. The son of Francis and Tina Kelly, of Basin, has tragically passed away when his canoe capsized during his most recent adventure in Bucksport, Maine.
Levi and his wife Loren “Mariah” Wadas-Kelly had recently moved to Bucksport so Mariah could start her doctorate in marine biology and Levi could continue in his career as a lawyer.
Levi was born in Cody, Wyo., to Frank and Tina Kelly on June 19, 1993. This charismatic young man was an avid golfer, frequent world traveler, and member of the Wyoming State Bar.
From the age of 3 to his junior year in high school, Levi shared in his dad’s passion for wrestling. Wrestling gave him his strength, dedication and drive. These admirable characteristics led him to thrive in Law School at the University of Wyoming. Levi graduated from Riverside High School in Basin in 2012.
Levi worked his way through college as a CNA. His work as a CNA led him to meeting the Hurd family. Carole Hurd is the reason Levi acquired his business professional dress attire and his passion for law. A passion that led him to meeting the love of his life.
While attending Law School he met Mariah. Dating in the first year of law school was not recommended, but his love was too strong. Levi and Mariah married June 26, 2021. Together they completed law school, passed the bar, practiced law, and traveled the world. They went to Finland, Dubai, Norway, Denmark, Hawaii, Scotland, and all over the United States.
While on one of their grand adventures exploring their new hometown in Maine, Levi and Mariah, on the morning of Saturday, April 2, capsized their canoe. Mariah was found the following day. At this time Levi has not been found. The police department of Bucksport, Maine and the Marine patrol has been working tirelessly to find his remains.
Levi is survived by his parent Frank and Tina Kelly; his four siblings, Amanda (Glen) Gutierrez of Billings, Jessica (Curtis) Wardell of Billings, Samantha Kelly and Quintin Kelly. Levi had two nieces, Kensley Kelly (Samantha) and Kennedy Gutierrez. Levi is also survived by too many aunts, uncles and cousins to count. Frank’s mother Barbara Kelly also has to endure this untimely loss.
Levi is preceded in death by his wife Mariah and his nephews Dylan, Blake and Hudson Wardell.
A memorial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 23 at the First Baptist Church, 21 WY-30, Basin, WY 82410. Reception to follow.
