Life survives when we love one another

The pie and chili contest fundraiser on Sunday was a wonderful time. What a great partnership with Medicine Lodge State Archaeological Site and Basin Heritage Foundation. It was great to see generations come together. Looking forward to this being an annual event.

I head to D.C. for a week later this month and will spend one day at the U.S. Capitol. Thanks to Queen Bee, our U.S. Senators and Representative will enjoy some Wyoming honey and treats. I am also taking cool stickers from our county and state parks. If you have any stickers you would like to add, please have them to us by Oct. 9. Due to weight limits on luggage only light weight things are going. 

The next chamber membership meeting is Oct. 9 at noon. Lunch will be provided.

• Basin Library: ECHO family learning community Wednesdays, bi-weekly at the library from noon to 1 p.m. Lunch provided. The program provides opportunities for families that have a child with developmental disabilities, autism or special health needs.  WYDOT is bringing their massive machines for your kids to check out Oct. 2 at 1 p.m.

• Basin City Arts Center: Tuesday, October 7 BCAC Bingo at 6:30 p.m. - Games-Fun-Prizes - doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 per packet. Must be 18+ to play. Bingo will be first Tuesday of each month. Contact Carmen at 307-899-0446 for more info. Saturday, October 11 Heaven Bound in Concert at Basin City Arts Center, local country gospel music at 7 p.m. Donations appreciated.

• Big Horn County: Commissioner meeting, 9 a.m. on Oct. 7.

• Lovell Area Chamber: Sugar Beets and Sunflowers, Oct 4 in downtown Lovell. Starts at 9 a.m.
