Lighted Christmas parade forms due

Great leaders don’t set out to be good leaders. They set out to make a difference.
Entries for the Home for the Holidays Lighted Christmas Parade are due Monday, Nov. 20. Forms are available on the chamber’s FB page or at the newspaper in Basin. Christmas lights are going up all over town. Please get yours up before Nov. 25 for the annual Home for the Holidays in Basin. If you need lights, the chamber has plenty. Just give us a call.
Again this year, the chamber will give away $150 in Lilac Loot to people who shop locally on Nov. 25. This is Shop Small Saturday. Three shoppers will win $50 each. Retail stores, please be sure you let your staff know to remind people shopping that day to turn in their receipts to the Basin Area Chamber by Dec. 5. There will be a box set up in the foyer of the chamber. It is open 24/7/365. The shopper’s name and number need to be on the receipt dated 11/25/23.

• Basin Library: Join the Friends of the Basin Library for a remembrance of JFK’s assassination 60 years ago on Nov. 22, 1963. In the Basin Library’s Wyoming Section on display are newspapers from the event. There is also a sheet for those who would like to record their memories of that momentous day. Friends of the Basin Library Table at Home for the Holidays Bazaar Saturday, Nov. 25, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at old high school gym.
