Little league registration deadline nears

The registration deadline for the 2024 South Big Horn Little League season is Friday, March 15.
The SBHLL organization, which serves the communities of Greybull, Basin, Shell, Manderson, Burlington and Otto, is now taking online registrations. To sign up your child or children, visit leagues.bluesombrero.com/southbighornlittleleague or call Hillary Dooley at 307-250-2851.
If you miss the March 15 deadline, you will have an additional week (March 16-22) to get signed up, but will have to pay an additional surcharge of $10 per player. No registrations will be accepted after March 22 due to uniform orders.
The league fielded T-ball (ages 4-7), coach-pitch (6-8), minors (8-10), majors (11-12) and seniors (13-16) teams last season.
Approximate season dates are April 8 through the middle of July for the upper level teams and April 22 through the end of May for T-ball and coach-pitch teams.
New scoreboards
The league announced a new addition last week, reporting that it was able to purchase and install new scoreboards with Sykes Grant funding from the Wyoming Community Foundation. The scoreboards will be installed on the fields at the Art Schutte Sports Complex.
“These scoreboards will allow the community to now be able to view the score during the games,” said President Curtis Johnson. “This will create an environment that increases the baseball experience for all in attendance.”
South Big Horn Little League has worked to create a program to allow any child who desires the opportunity to play baseball for years to come and believes funds received will strengthen the work being done.
