A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 4 at The Church of Latter-day Saints, 430 Elizabeth Drive, Riverton, Wyo.  Viewing will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Interment will be at 2 p.m. at Otto Cemetery in Otto, Wyo.
She will be laid to rest next to her beloved son, Byron, whom she missed very much.
Marla Mae Jordan was born on May 6, 1952 in Worland, Wyo., to Claudy Virgil and Bertha Faye (Jones) Jordan.  Her family later moved to Greybull, Wyo., where Marla attended schools.
Marla spent her childhood in Greybull and at the family cabin on Trapper Creek in the Big Horn Mountains.  From early childhood, Marla had many wonderful memories of all the family, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins at the family cabin.  During this period in life, she developed a great love for the mountains, camping, fishing and hunting.  Later on, she would pass this love of the outdoors on to her children.  Marla continued this until illness precluded her from making the trips to the mountains.
After school, Marla married and moved to Arapahoe, Wyo.; during that time, she raised her family of five children: Cory, Danielle, Alan, Amber and Byron.
Marla was baptized and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was very entrepreneurial and would later go one to create a cake/catering business, “Marla’s Creations” (cakes you’ve only dreamed about).  She was very successful in this venture.  Her cakes were truly works of art!  Her other ventures included wildlife wood carvings, specialty wood furniture and dried flower arrangements.
Later in life, Marla met her soulmate, Dave Meserve, and they settled in Riverton, Wyo.  They spent over 20 beautiful years together.  They were sealed together at the LDS Temple in Billings, Mont.  Dave and Marla loved each other unconditionally and were together every moment they could right to the very last.
She is survived by her husband David Meserve; children, Cory Landis, Danielle Landis-St John, Alan Landis and wife, Nina, and Amber Landis; brother Larry Jordan and wife, Judy; sister Amy Peterson and husband, Bob; brother-in-law, Dan Meserve and wife, Ronnie; 11 grandchildren, Britney (Justin) Wood, Tyler Landis, Trenton Landis, Paige (Robin) McElhaney, Brett (Katelyn) St John, Collin (Sierra) St John, Alan Jr. Landis, Brianna Landis, Cora Lee Landis, Elijah Landis and Gage McDonald; and six great grandchildren.
Marla was greatly loved by her husband, children and grandchildren.  Each and every one was very special to her.  Her greatest joy was seeing and talking to each of them.
She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Tressa Meserve; beloved son, Byron Landis; sister, Faye Tolman; mother Bertha Jordan, and father Virgil Jordan.
Marla had a soft spot and a kind heart for all animals.  She cherished all her pets.
