MS wrestlers compete at state tournament

Eight Greybull-Basin wrestlers competed at the Wyoming Amateur Wrestling Association Middle School State Championship held recently in Laramie, with three of them taking top honors in their respective weight classes.

The champions included Harper Juneau, at 140 pounds; Delta Craft, at 115, and Kaislee Nyberg, at 140.  Nyberg also placed second at 125-135.

They were joined on the podium by Ryan Whisenant, fourth at 105, and Sophia Wilkinson, sixth at 120.

While they didn’t place, a trio of boys including 125-pounder Quaide Houchin, 132-pounder Haakon Craft and 95-pounder Kaysen Nyberg wrestled hard and gained valuable experience against top-flight competition.
