Mother’s Day Brunch at BCAC
 Treat your mother this Mother’s Day to brunch at the Basin City Arts Center Ballroom from 10 a.m. to Noon this Saturday, May 11.
Breakfast burritos, fruit salad, coffee, and juice will be served. For your pleasure take time to enjoy the tablescapes on display - creations by local artists depicting a special scene.
Mothers are free. Cost is $6 per person or $25 for immediate family. Contact Viki at 307-568-2299 for more information.

Wyoming Food Bank announces dates of mobile food pantry
The Wyoming Food Bank’s mobile pantry distribution dates for May are May 11 and May 25. The location is the fairgrounds in Basin. It starts at 10 a.m. It is not income based.
It is on a first-come, first-serve basis until the food is gone.

Shell Rough Riders collecting items for the Basin Area Food Pantry
 The Shell Rough Riders 4-H food drive to benefit the Basin Area Food Pantry started May 5 and will continue through June 9.
Donations may be dropped off at Basin’s Market, Lynn’s Superfoods, Basin Co-op, Old Shell Store and the BHC Extension Office.
Suggested items include rice, canned food, paper products, cooking oil, condiments, pasta, self-stable milk, toiletries and beans.

Summer food program offered in Burlington
Big Horn County School District No. 1 has announced that the district will provide free summertime meals for students.
The summer food service meals are available at no charge for children 18 years of age and younger.
District One will provide boxes of meals containing seven lunches and seven breakfasts on one day per week, with meals distributed on Wednesdays each week from June 5 through August 7.
The Wednesday pickups will run from 7 a.m. to noon in Burlington at the Burlington School, 109 School Avenue.
Those participating in the program are asked to notify the school district at 307-762-3334 so the meals can be ordered in appropriate numbers.

On April 24, 2024, at 9:41 p.m., Dawson Robert Peterson was born to Shani and Christian Peterson of Burlington.
Dawson weighed 9 pounds, 2 ounces and measured
21 inches. At home, he joins a sister, Kimber Peterson, aged 22 months.

Boone Bridger Jones arrives April 27
On April 27, 2024, at 2:57 p.m., Boone Bridger Jones was born to Kyla and Bridger Jones of Powell.
Boone weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces and measured 22 inches.
At home, he joins a sister, Lia Jones, aged two.
Boone’s grandparents are Randall and Michelle Jones and Clint and Amy Pollock.
