Pianist to share Christmas favorites Sunday in Basin
Dr. Michael Yenny will play all your favorite Christmas music during a 4 p.m. performance Sunday, Nov. 19 at the Basin City Arts Center. Dr. Yenny grew up in Greybull and loves to share his piano music.
The program includes “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,” “Emmanuel Comes,” “The Ghosts on Christmas Eve,” “Believe,” from “The Polar Express,” “O Christmas Tree,” “Morning Song,” “Silent Night,” “In the Pine Forest,” from “The Nutcracker Suite,” “We Three Kings,“ “In Dulci Jubilo,” “I’m So Glad Each Christmas Eve,” “Final Dream” and “Joy to the World.”
The concert is free and open to the public. Donations are appreciated. A reception will follow in the ballroom. The Festival of Trees will be on display.
First Baptist hosts holiday meal
Basin First Baptist Church invites the community to attend a holiday meal on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, Nov. 23) from noon to 2 p.m.
The church will provide the meat, but attendees are asked to please bring a dish to share. Games and fellowship will follow the meal.
Basin’s Festival of Trees starts this Sunday
View the Festival of Trees for the first time Sunday, Nov. 19 at the Michael Yenny Christmas concert reception in the Basin City Arts Center ballroom.
The concert starts at 4 p.m.
Featured at the festival his year are 10 Christmas trees and seven other items just waiting for your favorite votes and bids.
Viewing/voting for your favorite and bidding on the trees will continue Monday, Nov. 20 and Tuesday, Nov. 21 from 4-7 p.m. All bidders must be 18 or older.
As part of the Home for the Holidays celebration, doors open at the BCAC on Saturday, Nov. 25 from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The doors reopen after the lighted Christmas parade, with final bidding at 7:15 p.m. before doors close at 8 p.m.

St. Andrews offers community Thanksgiving
St. Andrews Church in Basin will host a community Thanksgiving meal in Harris Hall next to the church starting at noon on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, Nov. 23).
All food will be provided.
Births: Ballards welcome baby girl
Darren and Leslie Ballard of Lovell are the parents of a 7-pound, 13.8-ounce baby girl born Nov. 3 at 4:20 p.m. at Powell Valley Healthcare.
Minnie Evaleen measured 20 inches long. She joined siblings Sadie (6), Gracie (4) and Bowen (2) and was welcomed by paternal grandparents Brian and Melinda Ballard and maternal grandparents Gerald and Vickie George.
