Open slots for July’s Entertainment in the Park

One day you’ll be just a memory for some people. Do your best to be a good one. 

Still looking for “talent” for the Basin City Arts Center/Tom Newman State Farm Entertainment in the Park. Open dates in July. Looking for one hour of entertainment on Thursdays at 7 p.m. Please call 307-272-6844. 

Lilac Days is June 6-7. Wing It Food Truck and Haley’s Concessions have both confirmed they will be there! Gottche will host a 5K Run/Walk on June 7. The American Legion will host a car show on June 7. The Friends of the Basin Library will sponsor the Kids Sidewalk Art Contest. Basin First Baptist will host a free breakfast.

  • Burlington Schools: Bingo for Books, May 1, 6-7 p.m. Rabies clinic for cats/dogs, May 1, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. 

 • Midway Golf: Spring Fling, April 26, 10 a.m. 

 • UW Extension 4H: Garden Expo, April 30, 5:30 - 8:30 pm. Please RSVP by April 24. (Gretty 307-272-0576) Ag Day, May 1 for second and third graders at the fairgrounds in Basin. Contact Gretty for more info. Graze into spring, May 10, 2-4 p.m. at Shell Bar. Spring charcuterie bits and bites class, $25. Pairing beverages $3 a sample or $6 a glass. Please RSVP to Gretty. 

 • Town of Basin:  Clean-up Day.  If you need a large item removed or special assistance, call Town Hall to get on the schedule. The items must be outside ready for pick up. One load per household can be brought to the dump by 11 a.m. on April 26 or pick up a voucher at Town Hall usable at the dump from April 19 to May 3. No liquid paint, oil or batteries. For more information call Town Hall at 568-3331.
