Otto minors, majors wrap up season’s final games

The Little League season ended for the Otto majors and minors team with their final home games against Thermopolis.

Porter Aagard pitched the first three innings for the Rattlers. Thermopolis scored two runs in the first inning and Otto responded with Jaxon Buck getting a hit that earned him a single and eventually stealing home for the only run for the Rattlers in the bottom of the first.

Aagard had three strikeouts in the second inning, but Thermopolis ran in two more runs. The Rattlers got their bats going and saw Aagard, Nicholas Worthen, Buck and Bret Winters all produced singles and Brigham Winters rap a double. The solid hitting got Worthen and Brigham Winters home to earn two more for Otto.

The third inning was big for both teams, with Thermopolis running in four but the Rattlers responded with six runs. Aagard, Worthen, Brigham Winters, Raiden Andrew, Brooklyn Winters and Kobe Winters all walked at bat but made it around to score.

Worthen took over the mound in the fourth inning and got two strikeouts with the first two batters but Thermopolis connected and ran in three more runs. The game ended with Thermopolis on top, 14-9.

The minors started with Kobe Winters on the mound. Thermopolis came to play and scored five runs in the first inning. Winters, Gage Tolman and Brigham Winters all walked but stole home to add three runs for the Rattlers.

Kobe Winters held Thermopolis to one run with three strikeouts in the second inning. At bat, Kobe Winters walked but had a big play on base when he broke the pickle to score for Otto. Cruz Allen also walked and scored the second run of the inning.

Jax Morgan took over the mound in his pitching debut and Brigham Winters finished the inning with two strikeouts. Both pitchers held Thermopolis to one run. The big play of the evening came when Vanessa Winters hit the ball and with the help of some infield errors scored a home run that also drove in Andrew and tied the game for a final score of 7-7.
