The tendency on the part of some of our farmers to dispose of their cows is said to be due to a shortage of feed. Hay is said to be rather scarce and at a good price in this section. One thing which has hit our hay crop is the damage from rain, but advices from a Kansas City hay firm are to the effect that the condition exists all over the west.
