November 5, 1925
Mr. Elmer Wiley came in from Alamo flat on Wednesday of last week, bringing in his 6-year-old son, Harry, who was suffering with a broken leg, and the fracture was reduced by Drs. Harris & Harris. Mr. Bassie Kirkpatrick was down from Hyattville on Tuesday with his 16-year-old son, who had fractured his left ankle by shipping on the ice. The roads were dreadful and the trip was a hard one for the suffering boy.
The main roof of the immense lumber shed of the Thompson Lumber company gave way on Tuesday evening at 6 o’clock under the great weight of the snow it was carrying and crashed to the ground. Fortunately no one was under it when it fell and no one was injured. Yesterday morning the northwest corner of the Black garage which fronts to the north gave way under its weight of snow and fell, covering a lot of machinery that was located in that part of the building.

November 2, 1950
A plea from high school officials and players alike was issued this week for greater spectator support of the Basin High School gridiron team. Admitting the Bobcat team has suffered severe reversals this season, players and officials united in expressing the feeling that the town has not supported the team as well as it might.
Charles Vonburg, Jr., of Basin purchased the grand champion Hereford bull at the Big Horn Basin Hereford Breeders’ association sale in Worland Monday. The animal, a product of the Turner ranch of Hyattville, brought $1,625.
The Paintrock Punchers 4-H club of Hyattville topped the annual judging contest held in connection with the show of the Big Horn Basin Hereford breeders’ association in Worland last Sunday according to Arvil D. Ashment. The team consisted of Dick Mercer, Donald Cornett and Jim Caines.

November 6, 1975
Fred Werner, Tom Pearl and Larry Herzog, tri-captains of the conference champion Basin Bobcats football team, and their coach, Andy Johnson, were guests at the Basin Rotary club luncheon last Thursday.
A double ring ceremony united Renee Vonburg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Vonburg, Jr., of Worland and Kevin Lewis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Lewis of Basin.
Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Taylor are the parents of a 6-pound, 12½-ounce daughter born October 28 at South Big Horn County hospital. She has been named Diane Gene Taylor.

The Basin City Arts Center and Riverside High School thespians are combining to make the old Wigwam theatre live again in Basin. Students are hard at work rehearsing for next week’s performance of “Lo and Behold,” a comedy. Cast members include Lindsey Williamson, Alex Nauman, Chad Morgan, Julie Stidolph, Sara Spann, Jenna Shelhamer, Lacy Shelhamer, and Kyle Tate. Katrina Jares and Jennifer Jacobs are student directors and Nichole Jewell and Courtney Bresach are stage managers.
Construction is underway at the new Big Horn County Jail. County Officials broke ground on the project in October and site preparation has begun. The new facility is designed to hold up to 88 inmates, primarily adult males, but it has the capability of housing up to eight female prisoners.
