At a meeting of the State Board of Charities and Reform at Cheyenne on Tuesday the contract for the construction of the new Wyoming State Tuberculosis Sanatorium was let to Messrs. Larsen and Jorgensen of Casper. Their bid was $81,440.00. This price does not include the elevator, which will be arranged later and will run  the total price up to about $110,000. Mr. Wm. Dubois, the architect, and Mr. G. Kulien, vice president of the Larsen & Jorgensen Co., will be here next week to stake off the site of the building and to begin the actual work on the building.

As the new Big Horn County jail takes shape, steps are being taken to keep the cost if the facility within the county’s available budget. Rick Nelson of Groathouse Construction, the primary contractor on the project, reported that the outside walls of the jail are beginning to go up, and that sometime in May the cells will be installed. After that, the roof will be put on the building. The county commission, Groathouse Construction and Plan I Architects are working together to find ways to bring the cost down from $6,078,125 to $6 million, the amount budgeted for the facility.
