With the passage of bills providing for a one-mill levy for the year 1925 to be used for the construction of the state tuberculosis sanitarium and setting aside $15,000 for maintenance of the institution for the year 1926, construction of the sanitarium this year is assured. The State Board of Charities and Reform will meet during the next few weeks and select the site upon which the sanitarium is to be built.

As will be noticed in the dispatch from Greeley, Colo., printed elsewhere in this issue, Arthur Zaring, who is attending the University of Wyoming, is making a fine record as a wrestler. Those who have seen the work tell us that he is doing splendidly and that no one of his weight has yet been able to put his shoulders to the mat. Basin is very proud of this Basin High School graduate.

She can teach the men a few things about agriculture — and she holds the 1949 Wyoming swine record championship on 4-H to prove it. Only 17 years old, Thelma Snyder, Greybull 4-Her, knows her way around home economics and agriculture, too, says Miss Aleta McDowell, 4-H club agent of the Wyoming agricultural extension service. Poultry, sewing, cooking and swine have been her projects completed over a six-year period. Living on a 225-acre farm, Thelma makes valuable contributions to the family’s food budget and earns a “pretty penny” for herself. Among her honors are ribbons and trophies for outstanding recognition in livestock and poultry judging and cooking projects. Her most recent trip to the interstate 4-H roundup in Denver climaxed a top career in agriculture.
