On Monday of last week the writer sat down and wrote the story of how Sheriff Burgess and Deputy Denny had gone over into Washakie County and located the goods which had evidently been taken out of the Altman building before the recent fire at Manderson. Whatever became of that article we do not know. We do know that because we had a number of other things on our mind last week, we closed the forms without it and did not realize that we had overlooked it until after the paper had been printed. On Sunday of last week the officers located a truck load of merchandise in a tenant house on the ranch of John Salzman. Salzman claims that Altman claimed that he was a recent arrival in the country and wanted a place to store his goods until he could get located.
