The delay in the matter of starting actual construction of Wyoming’s Tuberculosis Sanatorium is explained by the fact that certain demands were made by the board on advice of the attorney general, who insisted that the state be guaranteed against an assessment for drainage which would call for the difference between the actual assessment made some time ago and the estimated benefits, a sum amounting to $1,300.00. Because of the delay it is quite likely that nothing can be done this fall, but it is probable that everything can be gotten in readiness for quick work next spring.

Residents near the corner of S. 9th and A streets probably think some sort of water demon is out to get them. For the second time this year, the intersection was flooded with water. This time it was a construction accident which punctured the water line. The same area was hit last April when a break in the canal west of Basin sent water down A street and flooded several homes and yards in the area, along with school facilities.
