Rattlers beat Thermopolis at home
With both Otto Rattler teams losing to Greybull at home the previous week, the minors came back to beat Thermopolis at home on Tuesday. The Rattlers came together on both offense and defense for their win in one of the last games of the season.
Gage Tolman got a base hit, Brigham Winters got three hits and four RBIs, Jax Morgan got two base hits and an RBI, Camryn Ellison got a double and an RBI on her first hit of the season, Oliver Stolk got his first hit of the season and Jace Winters got a base hit and an RBI. Those 7 RBIs, smart base stealing and capitalizing on walks led to the success of the Rattlers at bat.
B. Winters took the mound in the first three innings, striking out four, assisting with a tag out from V. Winters at home, assisted with a tag out to Tolman at first and then again assisting with a tag out to his brother J. Winters at first. Tolman got another solo force out at first base and J. Winters got a solo force out when he covered first.
Morgan took over the mound for his first time this season in the fourth inning and struck out two and the game ended on another solo force out at first from Tolman, leading to a final score of 12-8.
“This was a fun game to play in the sense that the game was for the kids and their growth and enjoyment and not totally for winning and losing,” said Coach Janalee Call. “A lot of my players got their first successes whether at bat or in the field which was super to see! A winning season for me is to see the improvement of my players. This has been a winning season.”
