Rebels win one, lose one

The Riverside Lady Rebels didn’t get the outcome they wanted against Burlington on Friday, Jan. 30.  They started strong, trailing just 12-10 after the first quarter, but “from that point forward we just couldn’t get shots to go down and Burlington just ran away with the game,” Coach Hamilton said of the 63-21 loss. “We had a good week of practice and started out good. Burlington is ranked number one in the  conference and they are the ‘real deal’ as they have depth at every position.”

The following day the Rebels traveled to St. Stephens and came away with a 70-32 victory. “We found out about things we need to work on in the next four weeks before regionals and look forward to getting back on the practice floor before our three games this week.”
